Dental for Underinsured
To answer the unmet need for dental services for the underinsured in Erie, PA, Stairways Behavioral Health collaborated with several powerful partners to create a dental clinic: Schein Dental Company donated new dental equipment, the Saint Vincent Health Foundation provided funds to renovate the dental offices, and Stairways provided its building at 2922 State St. Community Health Net operates the clinic and employs the dentist, Dr. Ama Graham-Kremer, as well as hygienists and support staff. The clinic opened in January 2007 and is now in full operation, open Monday through Friday, treating approximately 90 mental health consumers and underinsured dental patients weekly.
