SMART is a one-to-one therapeutic program designed to help adolescents acquire the skills and tools that will help them advance through the developmental stages of adolescence and successfully transition in to adulthood.
This program is tailored for adolescents ages 12 to 21 who meet medical necessity for behavioral health rehabilitation services (BHRS) (non-autistic spectrum). Those who are having difficulty building or maintaining relationships with peers and teachers, exhibit anxiety or withdrawal from others, or experience hyperactivity, impulsiveness or aggression would benefit from the SMART program.
SMART services can be provided in the home, school or community setting. When individuals are ready, SMART adolescent services will continue with the same therapist at an adolescent outpatient clinic.
SMART is exclusive to Stairways Behavioral Health. It is the first of a planned, multi-level response to the changing needs of today’s adolescents. Contact us for more information – and for specific referral information.
