Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services

Psychiatric Rehabilitation is a skills building program to help people living with serious mental illness realize meaningful goals and lead more fulfilling lives. Staff meets with people inside or outside their homes to develop skills in the areas of living and wellness, education, vocation and socialization.

Individual goals might include:

Quarterly Skills Classes are offered at the BLOOM Collaborative campus for those enrolled in Psych Rehab. Based on the Eight Dimensions of Wellness, classes seek to aide participants’ growth in the emotional, intellectual, physical, spiritual, financial, social, environmental and occupational realms. The goal is to help participants become more self-aware and make choices which lead to improved health in all dimensions of life.

To be eligible for Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services, candidates must be 18 years or older, an Erie County resident, diagnosed with a serious mental illness and experiencing moderate to severe functional impairment that interferes with every-day life and social activities or work or educational performance.

Getting started and staying involved starts with a phone call, includes a plan, and ends with success.
