Independent Living Services

Independent Living Services offers support & skills development for living, working, learning, socializing and pursuing your recovery goals.

Stairways Independent Living Services (ILS) provides a variety of rehabilitative and support services to individuals with mental illness who are living, or preparing to live, in the community. Available programs include:

Perhaps you want to return to school or obtain employment. Maybe you need to secure an apartment or learn about day-to-day wellness practices. You can experience a fuller, more meaningful life beyond your diagnosis and its symptoms.

Trained, certified ILS staff members can help you identify and pursue your personal goals for recovery, connect you with programs that help you achieve those goals, and celebrate with you as you increase your independence and improve your overall quality of life.

Eligibility

To be eligible for ILS services, candidates must be 18 years or older, diagnosed with a serious mental illness and experiencing moderate to severe functional impairment that interferes with every-day life and social activities or work or educational performance.

Candidates must be prepared to live in the community and are required to create a personal rehabilitation plan.

Getting started and staying involved starts with a phone call, includes a plan, and ends with success.
