A wide range of range of residential treatment and housing support programs is just one of the many ways Stairways can assist individuals at any stage of recovery.
In addition to the Residential Treatment Facility for Adults, and the Long-Term Structured Residence programs, the following programs respond to the unique to the needs of its residents. Eligibility requirements and availability are also unique to each.
Stairways Personal Care Home is a 24-hour supervised state-licensed facility where persons with mental health care needs receive therapeutic support as well as recreational and social opportunities.
Homestead Apartments is a supported living environment that allows adults with mental illness to establish their independence in the community while maintaining services that help them manage demands of daily life. This program can provide a transitional step to independent living.
Stairways Irma Seligman Apartments offers independent, subsidized housing to adults with mental illness who have stabilized in their recovery. Located in Erie, PA, this apartment building is managed in collaboration with Housing and Neighborhood Development Services (HANDS). Stairways Behavioral Health professionals provide residents with support services through its Independent Living Services program.
