Counselor

This position will be responsible for completing program intakes, treatment planning, discharge planning, case management, and coordinating service delivery. The position will also conduct group, individual, and family therapy and work closely with program leadership, support staff, certified recovery specialist staff, and the medical team to ensure that comprehensive services are provided to individuals dually diagnosed with substance abuse and mental health disorders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s or Bachelor’s level qualifying degree as determined by the Drug and Alcohol regulations as well as the agency standards and guidelines of position; Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with a team; Strong clinical skills with working knowledge of mental health system, recovery-oriented approaches and psychiatric rehabilitation principles; Ability to work effectively with persons with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities and develop comprehensive support plans for their program participation; Act 31/33/34 Clearance and FBI Criminal Background Check; Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours.

Dual Diagnosis Counselor

This position is responsible for conducting bio-psycho-social assessments to determine appropriate placement levels for outpatient dual diagnosis care. The incumbent also facilitates individual and group counseling sessions to provide clients with opportunities to explore recovery issues and work toward mutually determined recovery goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masters level preferred or Bachelors level degree in related field with one year experience or equivalent education and experience as determined by agency standards and guidelines of position; licensure and/or D&A certification (CAC or CAC Diplomat) preferred; Minimum of 1 year clinical experience. Preferably in a D&A setting; Exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal, organizational skills & the ability to effectively work with a team; Strong clinical skills with working knowledge of mental health system, drug and alcohol system and recovery principles; Ability to effectively work with persons with mental illness and develop comprehensive treatment / recovery plans for their program participation; Act 31/33/34 Clearance and FBI Criminal Background Check; Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours.

 

Certified Recovery Specialist

This position is responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with addiction issues or co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues. The position will provide outreach, mentoring, and peer support at all stages of the recovery process. The position includes face to face contact both individually and in groups; assisting individuals in developing a recovery plan and achieving objectives; assisting individuals in selecting services and/or program offerings that will be useful in achieving their recovery goals; offering support and mentoring as needed in the implementation of the recovery plan; and, exploring, securing and utilizing each client's support network and/or community resources.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High School graduate or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and be 18 years of age or older; Must have a minimum of three years in recovery from addiction to alcohol or other drugs and have a strong recovery program that includes natural supports; Must be eligible for Recovery Specialist certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board; Demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing and use of a personal computer; Commitment to consumer choice and empowerment; Ability to explain expertise in recovery; Good interpersonal skills so as to effectively relate to peers and supervisors; Must have working knowledge of the drug and alcohol systems and community supports; Must be free of illicit drug use and maintain and promote a clean, sober lifestyle; Act 31/33/34 Clearances and FBI Criminal Background Check; Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours. 

 

Part Time Aide (Residential)

These positions are responsible for providing assistance with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living to clients residing in the Personal Care Home.  The incumbent is expected to promote a home-like atmosphere and encourage positive social experiences and interactions with and between clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent,  Effective communication skills, both written & verbal, organizational skills, knowledge of practical self-care skills & ability to work with minimal supervision, Ability to effectively work with persons with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities & implement support / recovery plans for their program participation, Act 31/33/34 Clearance and FBI Criminal Background Check,  Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours.

 

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

This position is responsible for assessing client physical and mental health status, providing client education, assisting the psychiatrist in providing medical services to identified clients, administering intramuscular (IM) medications, and providing a nursing perspective to Outpatient treatment team professionals including nursing, therapy and psychiatric.  Additional duties include assisting clients with acquiring prescription medications, documenting client progress toward recovery and serving as a client liaison to the physician through effective management of client walk-ins, phone consultation and scheduled appointments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current licensure as Licensed Practical Nurse by State of Pennsylvania; experience working with individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse disorders preferred; Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, organizational skills and the ability to effectively work with a team; Strong clinical skills with working knowledge of mental health system and recovery principles; Ability to effectively work with persons with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse disorders and encourage their participation with comprehensive treatment plansAct 31/33/34 Clearance and FBI Criminal Background Check; Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours

 

Blended Case Managers (Multiple Vacancies) - Monday-Friday, Day Shifts!

The position is responsible for assisting individuals in obtaining mental health support services by creation, coordination and implementation of goal plans which incorporate recovery principles as well as resource coordination needs.  The incumbent in this position identifies, links, monitors, serves as a resource and supports the activities which assist individuals and their families within the mental health service system.  Crisis management and resolution are also important functions in this position.  The incumbent must maintain a professional relationship with internal staff and community resource providers. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s levels degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, other related social sciences, criminal justice, theology, nursing, counseling or education; OR, be a registered nurse; OR, possess accepted licensure / certification in a related field (i.e., Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner) with 2 years of mental health direct care experience in a public or private human services field; OR, associate’s degree in a social science with 3 years of experience in a public or private human services field and a minimum of one year direct care experience; OR, high school diploma and 12 semester credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other social science and 2 years experience in direct contact with mental health consumers; OR, a high school diploma and 5 years of mental health direct care experience in a public or private human services with employment as a case management staff person prior to April 1, 1989.   Exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal, organizational skills & the ability to work effectively with a team; Strong clinical skills with working knowledge of mental health service system; Act 31/33/34 Clearance and FBI Criminal Background Check; Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours.
